FSSM Stands for Financial Support Scheme For Farm Mechanization. This is the scheme that is implemented by the Agriculture Department of the state of West Bengal. The scheme was officially launched on December 5, 2012. Through this scheme government provide the small aid to the marginal Farmers. After getting the financial small aid eligible Farmers can purchase the farming related equipment’s or machinery which are operated through power.

FSSM Scheme West Bengal Features
- Motive of Scheme: The main motive to launch this scheme is to provide low cost equipment but boost the productivity of the Farmers in the state.
- Financial Aid: The financial assistance which is given in Small aid to the small and marginal farmers is about 50 to 60 percent subsidy on the total cost of the equipment which is upto Rs.3,00,000/-.
- Disbursement of Assistance: The subsidy amount is disbursed to all the eligible Farmer beneficiaries directly through DBT system of payment.
Farmer’s Eligibility
- Farmers Beneficiaries Eligibility: All the Individual farmers can be registered as Krishak Bandhu Farmers or can be approved in group of agriculture.
- Age of Farmer: while apply for this scheme minimum age of the Farmer can be 18 plus year.
- Land Requirement: all that Farmer who wants Power Tiller or solar pump they must have agriculture land at least 0.5 Acres.
- Restriction: You are not in any government job.

Financial Support Scheme For Farm Mechanization Registration Process
- To participate in this scheme to get the subsidy benefits, every farmer need to visit to the FSSM Official portal i.e. wbfms.wb.gov.in.
- On Home page go with the link new Registration.
- Fill the registration form with useful information of the Farmer.
- Once verify the information you put in the registration gorm and then signup.
FSSM Scheme Application Process
- After signup on the official portal, using the signup details login in your account.
- Here FSSM Scheme application Form available, now fill this form with the rest of the information of the Farmer Beneficiary.
- Now submit this form and after successfully submitting the form, you need to get the hard copy of the application form.
- With the hard copy of submitted application form, you have to attached the self attested all the documents required and then submit in the Assistant Director of the Department.
- Get the acknowledgment receipt from the office.
Selection Process
After getting the application form from eligible farmers, department select the beneficiaries to get the benefit. So the selection can be made through computerized or via random selection done by the DLSC.
